Episode 220: City Connection

Never before has driving action been almost sleep-inducing! "Race" your way through what can loosely be described as cities, and connect all the dots (or segments). Through sheer diligence and willpower, you, too, can be the force that brings hearts and minds (and road panels) together!

Driving straight across the download connects it to your computotron.

Show Notes

(10:00) Klaxosaur action.

(12:00) Slay the Spire is great, guys.

(21:00) Zach gets Geremy [REDACTED].

(31:30) Connect the rankings!

Episode 219: M.U.S.H.A.

As with many a story, this one begins in space, with Space Japan being Space Attacked by some sort of giant Space Monster. In this particular case, it's Space Skynet. Of course, the only reasonable response to this threat is to make a giant humanoid robot that basically never actually walks (and instead flies?!) to attack Space Skynet's rampaging armies. At least you have some sweet tunes and majestic views to aid you in your journey!

Spinning download shield!

Show Notes

(10:30) One Piece has publish 896 Chapters at the time of this episode’s recording, so not quite 1000 yet.  Berserk is sitting at 354.  For comparison, Dragon Ball totaled at 519 chapters, and Naruto was 700.

(15:15) Blazing Transfer Student falls off a little bit towards the end, but the first couple episodes are certainly worth a watch.

(25:15) The New Smash tease.  Despite what Tyler says, Nintendo has yet to confirm if it’s a port with new features or a full new game.

(29:30) The Assignment, M.U.S.H.A.

(40:30) Ranking Armor.

Episode 218: Ys

It seems inevitable that utopian societies just fall off into the ocean or something. All the time. Seriously, it's a real problem that one would think utopias would learn to deal with. Anyway, journey to a land that is less than ideal and wade your way through a horde of monster in order to get to the real reason you visit strange lands: the charming locals!

Walk right into that download to get its sweet XP.

Show Notes

(01:45) So, I (Tyler) dun goofed. I give our raw episode titles stupid joke names that I think will amuse Geremy. I titled the original Ys raw data "YYAAAAAASSSSS" because we were talking about FZero-X. I then assumed it was the raw for that episode, and deleted it to free up space, and didn't have backups.  I shall now commit ritual suicide because I have dishonored the show.

(03:30) Goddamn, Tommy's a badass villain.

(08:30) Gushing about Code Geass.

(12:30) Barely redeemable, my ass.

(19:20) I'd just like to point out that one of Wikipedia's occupations for Francis Drake is "slave trader".

(29:15) Hey, it's been a while since we've mentioned OW.

(32:20) There is still time to dump money into this awesome looking Batman-themed game.

(33:30) Speaking of Kickstarter and nerd hobbies, BATTLETECH is finally releasing on Steam.

(35:30) Mr. Card Game, for the KoL fans out there.

(36:00) The article talking about how stupid the RPO posters look.

(37:30) Rather than anything about the show, here's the Pirates game. Also, getting started on Ys!

(49:00) Seriously, the boss music is so hyper compared to the fights.

(51:20) Later in that same video, this voice acting.

(55:30) Can this game waltz through the horde of rankings?!

Episode 217: Pokémon Puzzle League

You know what's puzzling about Pokémon? When they start shooting a bunch of blocks and playing Tetris instead of using a flamethrower and body slam. Dive into the exciting world of the Puzzle League, where Ash, for some reason, got an invitation to compete. Also Team Rocket, I guess. Choose from the diverse cast of all the gym leaders that appeared in the anime, and enjoy as the spout the same line over and over again.

Show Notes

(15:45) In case you need more trash anime in your life.

(18:20) Yes, someone made this, and it has surprisingly high praise.

(23:20) Also, basketball mecha?

(24:00) Hey, guys! Zach manages a Discord for the podcast. Drop in!

(25:00) Just... this intro.

(33:45) See how this game stacks up.

(43:15) Discussion about the "pure trash line". The answer: it's subjective.
